Christl (aka "that woman") Buskohl-Johnson okay....I guess I just had a massive brain fart....as has happened frequently since my surgery in March. For the life of me, I don't know why I couldn't put the N in that word? Sorry. :) And thanks for not making fun of me.

James Harris of the NCO Hi Christl, good morning. I dont know a specific passage that talks about living in the past off the top of my head, Are you thinking about the verse There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens that would be Ecclesiastes

Christl (aka "that woman") Buskohl-Johnson I remember that one, James. I thought there was also one that says do not live in the past, or do not remember what has past. Something like that.

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. 21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. Then there is Philippians 3:13-14, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Matthew 6:25-34, and I can sit here and list 100 more off the top of my head. I wrote a sermon on this several years ago.  less

Bishop Michael Collins-Windsor, Ph.D. I know what you are referring to and I was thinking to myself yesterday when I saw those posts that a so called Christian minister should know better than to post the things she did. All I have to say is she does not know her Bible very well.

Christl (aka "that woman") Buskohl-Johnson Thank you for your help, Michael. I appreciate you taking the time to get that for me. A co-worker of mine is a very solid, very respectable Christian, and we were having a discussion on this earlier.

Sandra Palmer It ah...was a slang description for a man with uh...very uh...low hanging family jewels as it were. (Now Brother Simon is going to get me for vulgarity) or it could be another term for the Jojoba nut, or it could be a rude name that teen agers call each other.

  • Personal Beliefs Shamanic Witchcraft. I began learning about paganism more than thirty years ago. Began to study under a Lakota Shaman over 20 years ago. A Code by which to live: Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak. Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. who show ignorance, or conceit, and anger, Remember, jealousy and greed stem from a lost soul. Pray that all will find right guidance. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it except for you. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor. Respect all things that are placed upon this earth whether it be people, animal, or plant. Honor other people’s thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them. Allow each person the right to personal expression. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven. Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. They are part of your worldly family. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life’s lessons. When they are grown, give them space to grow. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of your pain will return to you. Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the test of ones will within this universe. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual self, Emotional self, and Physical self - all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work the body to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others, especially sacred and religious objects. Be true to yourself first. You cannot nurture and help others if you cannot nurture and help yourself first. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others.

My most humble opinion:  No one alive today is morally or legally responsible for  slavery.  The United States is a nation of immigrants. Many of the ancestors of those here today were not even in the country during the period of slavery (yes, there could be exceptions). What is the sense of asking their descendants to cough ...

  • Everyone can heal

    Posted August 1, 2011

Touch is the first tool we turn to when confronting pain. We react similarly to a stubbed toe and a broken heart, tenderly grasping the affected area. This need to apply physical contact is part of the innate healing instinct present within each of us. We are all born with the ability to heal ourselves and to heal others. Because healing energy ...
