The Sina Ahu Institute is a organization foused on holistic education, and humanitarian, environmental, and political diplomacy. The Institute focuses on fostering and encouraging non-violence through specific core training. The foundation of these core trainings are non-violent communication, Dialectical behavioral therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, mediation, and the Tao. The Institute recognizes all faiths and encourages each individual to become firmly rooted in their faith through prayer, meditation, and scholarship. To this, this group will be focused on education. Beginning Oct. 5th, 2009, the founders of the Sina Ahu Institute will begin giving discourse through an open discussion forum that will focus on various different spiritual philosophies in the hopes of encouraging this foundation of rooted faith; whatever faith that may be. Zen Sukoyaka Life Center is a spiritual community dedicated to the study and practice of the dharma, and the Zen Philosophy. Our purpose is to help awaken a radical awareness about one's spiritual self, and the issues that we face in the world today. We are dedicated to helping individuals bring about changes in their lives, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We focus on Zen philosophy and practice of zen based on the understanding that the Enlightened Mind is universal; not limited by, and independent of, any secular or sectarian institutions professing religious or spiritual authority. Which opens the path for anyone to find Liberation through the Enlightened Mind and enter through the Gateless Gate. Zen involves letting go of of preconceptions, dualistic thinking, religious abstractions, and symbolic delusions. Here at Zen Sukoyaka the practice of Zen requires Physical, and mental disciplines Our primary practice includes zazen (seated silent meditation), mindfulness (fully responsive awareness), as well as a natural approach to food, and the understanding of the universal laws of karma (cause and effect). Through these disciplines, and the Zen philosophy, one will learn to live a happier, healthier, holistic and spiritual life. At the Zen Sukoyaka Life Center we are not bound to one culture, everyone is welcome.
