"Illuminati, Greek illumination, name given to those who submitted to Christian baptism in the early years of Christianity. Those who were baptized were called "illuminati" or "illuminated ones" by the Ante-Nicene clergy, on the assumption that those who were instructed for baptism in the Apostolic faith had an enlightened understanding. In the later years of early Christianity they created a society founded upon science, and the pursuit of knowledge from within the Catholic church which created great turmoil on both sides for centuries to come.

The Lotus rises out of the mud with a pristine bloom.

Zen Sukoyaka Life Center is a spiritual community dedicated to the study and practice of the dharma, and the Zen Philosophy. Our purpose is to help awaken a radical awareness about one's spiritual self, and the issues that we face in the world today. We are dedicated to helping individuals bring about changes in their lives, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We focus on Zen philosophy and practice of zen based on the understanding that the Enlightened Mind is universal; not limited by, and independent of, any secular or sectarian institutions professing religious or spiritual authority. Which opens the path for anyone to find Liberation through the Enlightened Mind and enter through the Gateless Gate. Zen involves letting go of of preconceptions, dualistic thinking, religious abstractions, and symbolic delusions. Here at Zen Sukoyaka the practice of Zen requires Physical, and mental disciplines Our primary practice includes zazen (seated silent meditation), mindfulness (fully responsive awareness), as well as a natural approach to food, and the understanding of the universal laws of karma (cause and effect). Through these disciplines, and the Zen philosophy, one will learn to live a happier, healthier, holistic and spiritual life. At the Zen Sukoyaka Life Center we are not bound to one culture, everyone is welcome.

Each morning after meditation we have a our daily reading or short dharma talk, here I would like to share some of them with you. Feel free to ask questions make comments or post your favorite teachings of Buddha.
