Tom Asdell I really think that there's value in stories though, regardless of how 'factual' they may be. If someone is saying it, there's a message involved... If someone is saying it, there's a message involved... Or, as one of the characters in the Peter and the Starcatchers' series put it - "The children know that all stories are true, some of them just haven't happened." Many of the teachings of religions all over the world are in the form of parables. That being said, I really like your statement. It shows one of the reasons that we should respect our elders.

    A PRAYER TO OUR CREATOR

WE COME TOGETHER TODAY TO PRAISE

    YOUR ALMIGHTY GIFTS TO US...

YOU HAVE GIVEN US LIGHT FOR WARMTH,
    MEADOWS OF FRESH FLOWERS,
AND NATURAL HERBS,TO KEEP US HEALTHY,

YOU GAVE US DARK TO SLEEP AND TO REST OUR
WEARY HEARTS AND MINDS FOR ANOTHER DAY,

YOU GAVE US BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO LOVE US,
AND CHILDREN TO CARRY ON OUR NEVER-ENDING
ENDEAVORS - TO CARRY OUT YOUR WILL ,
AS WE KNOW WE WILL NEVER ACCOMPLISH
    THIS ALONE.

YOU GIVE US INTELLIGENCE TO BE ABLE TO
SEPARATE THE GOOD FROM THE EVIL,

YOU GIVE US THIS DAY, OUR DAILY BREAD,
    AND FORGIVE US OUR SINS,
AS WE WILL FORGIVE ALL OTHERS,
    AND
YOU WILL GIVE US THE STRENGTH, TO CARRY ON,
TO RECTIFY THE EVIL THAT TO WHICH WE HAVE
    SUCCUMB,

    TO BRING BACK THE MEADOWS,
    THE FLOWERS AND TREE'S,
TO CONTINUE TO HEAR THE BIRD'S AND BEE'S!

BLESS THE HEMP PLANT, AND KEEP IT STRONG,
AND ENABLE US, TO CARRY ON...

  • Ministers With Disabilities
    45 members
Many of us have disabilities, some Mental, some Physical. Yet we are all still children of God, and although some of us may not be able to express ourselves as we would like, we still try. Although we follow a path, it isn't always easy to. I've started this group, so that disabled ministers know they aren't alone. It helps to have others to relate too.
