Kevin Johnson I received a request from a woman currently incarcerated in TX, a Christian, whose faith is weak at this time. She is seeking a Christian penpal.  If you are able and interested, please contact me.  Blessings to you all.

Kevin Johnson this I highly doubt is a scam. The people that 'reach out' to me from the prisons are usually pretty legit. The prison ministry is my life/ No one is asking for money from this only a 'friend' to help them grown in their faith

Kevin Johnson yes, it is a benefit to companies, some claim to hire when in fact they only do so in name for the benefit. What does this have to do with the request of someone seeking support and guidance? What does this have to do with the request of someone seeking support and guidance? Apparently, I have posted to the wrong place seeking support for this woman. I am at a loss and dismayed by the comments made. It would seem that my thoughts and feelings of those who occupy the space of this site is true, for none have shown anything less than what has been expressed many times previously.

When the ex-offender goes to apply they are often times told 'come back in seven years' or given some reason why they cannot be hired. With the unemployment rate of ex-incarcerated and the demands placed on them to get a job, or often times end up 'back in the system' they need real and true solutions, not people who 'play the game.' Just trying to help ex-offenders with 'real solutions' that they can depend on, rather than the 'cock and bull' they are fed in many pre-release programs. Sorry if I cam across brash or harsh John - just a sensitive subject for me. And No, I am not an ex-offender if anyone is wondering LOL  less

  • Personal Beliefs We all have the same God, we are just taking different roads to get to the same summit All men and women are equal, regardless of class or station in life. We should know and practice respect, both towards ourselves and others. Not forcing our will on the will of others, but knowing the blessing of our will being accepted by others. All person should be impeccable in their words and actions, anything based on lies and untruth will end in lies and untruths. Not only is respect important you must first have self respect before you can respect others. To forgive is to break the tie to the 'bad.' We must forgive to be forgiven.

There are over 2.2 million people incarcerated in the United States alone.  Chances are that someone close to you or that your know is one of them.  In the United States, one in four people are estimated to 'do time' at some point, for some crime.  Often times these are non-violent crimes, drug abuse, driving without a license, et...

Truly, to sit down and write a letter to a family member or a friend, even an acquaintance whom you would like to spend more time getting to know but just haven't taken the time. ...

Let's talk about the sense of urgency to strengthen our spirit and soul. There is a lot of speculation of natural disasters and I think we know them all, including the collapse of world governments. Don't you think it is better to be prepared, and maybe nothing happens? It's time to get serious. Ask questions, engage in conversations, and Hope or pretend nothing will happen. If nothing happens, we will be stronger than we are now, or in the hereafter.

  • Separation of Churche and State?
    Posted October 21, 2010
There is much talk about the separation of church and state (the federal government) being non-existent these days and becoming increasingly more integrated. Should a religious leader take sides with a issue, party, a candidate or office holder?
