I won't give any money to foreign aid to help people in other countries. What I will do is go down to a local soup kitchen and help the poor here. I donate money, I buy and make care packages and hand them out to the local poor and yet I'm a cold hearted, un-feeling man. I don't understand people some times. Somehow someone who donates money over the phone while sitting on their butt and doing nothing is telling me they are morally superior because I won't donate to the same cause?  less

Myself and some of my Pastors in here were criticized because we would not send a lot of money to a Pastor here on the ULC to India and go there to preach. We have our own causes here to deal with such as soup kitchens, food banks, clothing centers, etc. I would not worry about it bro.

Back in August, Jason Lamebeaver and myself went over to Pittsburgh and spent the day downtown in the worst possible area. We gave out 300 sack lunches and spoke to many of the people there in the business district of that area. The need and want is outrageous and the homeless there was unbelievable. I guess for many it is hard to imagine the need here in the US, but it is there and it is real and someone has to pick up the slack.

We shouldn't just throw money at these problems we need to put some work into it. The more we give of ourselves the better we feel and the greater the difference is we make in others lives. Schools are another place to help out. Those teachers are using their own money to get what the students need. They are teaching our most precious resource but yet we pay politicians and sports players so much more than the teachers. What is wrong with us???

I have been to a few of them and they are awful. Some of them make the worse ghettos look like paradise. I really used to think the govt helped to take care of the people there but boy was I wrong. It's a crying sin and a shame to walk on some of the reservations and see just how bad off those folks are. Makes me sick.
