I won't give any money to foreign aid to help people in other countries. What I will do is go down to a local soup kitchen and help the poor here. I donate money, I buy and make care packages and hand them out to the local poor and yet I'm a cold hearted, un-feeling man. I don't understand people some times. Somehow someone who donates money over the phone while sitting on their butt and doing nothing is telling me they are morally superior because I won't donate to the same cause? less

Myself and some of my Pastors in here were criticized because we would not send a lot of money to a Pastor here on the ULC to India and go there to preach. We have our own causes here to deal with such as soup kitchens, food banks, clothing centers, etc. I would not worry about it bro.

Back in August, Jason Lamebeaver and myself went over to Pittsburgh and spent the day downtown in the worst possible area. We gave out 300 sack lunches and spoke to many of the people there in the business district of that area. The need and want is outrageous and the homeless there was unbelievable. I guess for many it is hard to imagine the need here in the US, but it is there and it is real and someone has to pick up the slack.

Now that many of the homeless shelters are charging this means people are out in the streets.

We shouldn't just throw money at these problems we need to put some work into it. The more we give of ourselves the better we feel and the greater the difference is we make in others lives. Schools are another place to help out. Those teachers are using their own money to get what the students need. They are teaching our most precious resource but yet we pay politicians and sports players so much more than the teachers. What is wrong with us???

I have been to a few of them and they are awful. Some of them make the worse ghettos look like paradise. I really used to think the govt helped to take care of the people there but boy was I wrong. It's a crying sin and a shame to walk on some of the reservations and see just how bad off those folks are. Makes me sick.

There are over 16,000 of us in here and if we were to work together on these many issues and actually DO SOMETHING we could work wonders in here and put or time efforts and money where our BIG MOUTHS are.
Bishop Michael Collins-Windsor, Ph.D.
IMO the US Govt is using attrition to rid itself of the Native American population one at a time and it suck big ones if you ask me.
Rev. Raymond Bearhawk
yes christopher. but a good one that many are actually participating in. well done.

This is a good conversation but michael is right we need to take it past conversation and find a way to help out even more

IMHO they need to disolve the BIA and create a some type of agency/council that actually cares or has an interest in Native Americans and there welfare/culture/ traditions

We are supposed to be ministers in here and out there doing something instead of sitting in here just posting Bible verses and arguing about whose God is bigger than the others. Sorry but this has been on my mind for a year now and I am sick of the BS. We need a plan of action and to get off our well fed rump roasts and get out there and do something for these people.

We need to get busy. I know many of us do these things in our home organizations but this would enable us to work as a team and combine our efforts with that of each other's ministries as well to actually get something done.
Bishop Michael Collins-Windsor, Ph.D.
They don't care Carl, that ass that is supposed to be there to help the people on the Arapaho/Cheyenne Nations Reservation makes an appearance once a month, make promises and nothing ever done.
Reverend Rosemarie Mohr
We are working on getting 3 truckloads to SD...2 with wood (still awaiting certification from the forestry dept) and another with clothes, blankets, and medicine..BIA...indeed bad

Listen to this crap. In the month that he had been there, 4 people died on that reservation and 3 of them face down in a dang ditch as they had been drinking and dropped dead in ditches and drowned. Do you think they cared? NO!!!!!!
February 5
Bishop Michael Collins-Windsor, Ph.D.
I don't know about you but where is the dignity for a man who has nothing to be found laying face down in a muddy ditch as there was want and need and no one gave a care to help???????

Some give to humanity, some give to the earth and some it's creatures. If everyone gave the same thing to the same cause, then nothing would get done for everyone or everything else. None is superior and the people, creatures and earth doesn't discriminate on the type of help that is given and that is what counts.

Wicca is a Federally recognized religion since 1986 in the USA. It is an earth-based religion encompassing all of Nature and everything it encompasses. There is Divinity in the forms of a Goddess and God.
The Green Earth Group will discuss the implications and methods of living a life with less impact to the Green Earth spirit, which I define as the force of life that keeps the chain of life going. We can discuss topics like, "How does my spiritual life impact the earth?", or "Does the life force of the Green Earth extend to other dimensions?"
this group it here to connect wiccans and other pagans together for conversation, debate and all around education of each other. Post book reviews and suggestions, hold classes etc.
