Tina Gallagher I am curious if anyone here has watched the new series Touch? It is amazing and shows examples of how we are all interconnected and how everything we do affects others even if we never see them. I have never been so touched by a TV show like this. I cried. lol

Small crisis with a couple of family members that I hope I handled right. Of course being the minister you are sought for advice, I knew that but it was still very interesting and humbling. This was my first time giving spiritual advice since becoming ordained. I just followed my heart.

Personal Information

  • Ordination Date February 16, 2012
  • Personal Beliefs I am newly ordained and nondenominational. I believe we can learn from all religions and the reason I joined ULC is for its acceptance of all religions. I am excited for same sex marriages to come to Washington and hope to be officiating one of the first weddings. I am also building a sustainable wedding website and would like to consult couples on having a low or no footprint wedding. I am in a bachelors program for sustainable enterprise management and will be mastering project management. I live in the beautiful little destination town of Ocean Shores, Washington: a beautiful place to have a wedding!

  • LaShawn Fowler “Hello, Pastor, is everything okay?” Brad asked compassionately.  “Yes, everything is just fine. I hope I’m not interrupting you. Were you asleep? If so, I can call you sometime tomorrow.” “No, I wasn’t asleep. Please, go ahead and share your thoughts.” “Thanks, I’ll try to be brief. You know the other day while we were talking, you mentioned something about us all being gods. And afterwards, when I finally began evaluating what you said, I couldn’t help pondering over your statement. In fact, it made me analyze how I view things; in comparison, with how the world views things. Surprisingly, I couldn’t help laughing, while thinking back to when I was young. Doing so evoked me to recall what my mother explained about this world.’ “She told my brother and me that all we had to do was put our trust in God, and everything would work out for the best. Funny, but I must admit, things turned out all right for me. But when I look at some of these young people today, and see the countless opportunities many are throwing away, I cannot help being grateful to my mother for providing me the insightful knowledge she did Had it not been for her, I wouldn’t have taken a liking towards studying the Word of God.” Pastor Sanchez shared. “Yeah, you’re right.” Bastian responded.   “You know, living in this brave new world, I often find it quite troubling needing to always convey the right words, especially when half of my congregation believes in God, and the other half is constantly trying to prevent those who do believe from believing, because they fail to believe at all.”  “I can imagine what that’s like. In fact, I’m often bombarded with the challenge of teaching my students how to stay focused and remain true to their beliefs. That’s why nowadays when I see one of my students falling too far behind, I make it my business to try and reach out and guide them back on track; at least before they fall too far behind.’ “Come to think of it, I’m reminded of the importance of making sure I stop and take a few moments each day, to help at least one person find their way. I believe doing so gives me a greater chance of making a difference in the life of another. And although, I have faith in God; I must admit, at times, I become a little doubtful.’ “That’s when I like to recall something I’ve read in the scriptures. But nowadays there are so many different versions; I get a little troubled by the various translations.  Still, I remain foundered in my faith that God sees me through everything I endure day- to- day; no matter what challenges come my way.” The Pastor sighed before responding. “You know, when I think about how the church is forced to embrace the issue of same-sex marriage, I tend to find myself…”  Read more at:    http://www.amazon.com/Professor-Stanley-Defends-Word-God/dp/1468058401/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1329335985&sr=8-1

For those involved in ministries and Churches in the United States. However all are welcome to participate! I would like to create a cohesive group of Minister's who either have or wish to open a ULC Church or Bible study and move forward with creating a hierarchy within the ULC itself, not just this region, but nationally and then internationally.
